Ten! All my peeps at breakfast...

Who are all these peeps at my table?

These peeps are a project that I worked on for the 29 Gifts product line that Cami + I launched last year... and now a year later these little guys have become a best seller, so I am glazing and firing another round of these little ceramic birds... check them out at the 29 Gifts boutique!

Back story: A little over a year ago, my creative cohort, Cami Walker, who I have collaborated in business with for the last 4 years, wrote a best selling book...
29 Gifts, How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life. The book is about the practice of giving + the movement that she set into motion and simultaneously changed her life. Check out the online community of over 12,000 people worldwide: www.29Gifts.org
Pretty amazing stuff!

Nine... sad breakfast...

Took Scrub to the airport early this morning to go off to India + China to shoot. Then had sad breakfast on the way back home. Breakfast in the car is sad. Burned bacon is sad. I have a bad cold. Sad. Didn't sleep last night because Scrub was up all night packing. Sad. Luckily, otherwise things are not sad. But today was not my best day.

Breakfast eight... ate, ate, ate...

Oh, this may not look delicious... but this was delicious! Little Adrienne, my dear sweet love, has been eating this everyday... slow-cooked oatmeal with berries... I added almond slivers + coconut, butter, brown sugar and a little bit of heavy whipping cream... because once again we are out of milk and half + half... but luckily in this house there is always some fatty milk product around.

I spoke to my aunt Kern on the phone today... which reminded me, last year we made granola for everyone as one of our handmade Xmas presents... Scrub and I put them in Mason jars and even made labels... :)

I wish I had pictures of them all packaged up... why don't I document more?!

Anyway my aunt had asked for the recipe... so when making Granola this year I dug it out... and here is a link to where I found it. The recipe is based off of the Cafe Fanny Granola from our friend Alice Waters... CLICK HERE AUNTIE FOR THE RECIPE!

And this is M + M's breakfast... and Mieze said she is going to come over for a sleepover and cook me breakfast... YAY!!!!!!

Seven... court breakfast!

Went to court this morning to watch Matt duke it out with his ex-wife.
It was awesome. It was like watching a public shaming.
The judge really called her out on her unbelievable behavior.
Ahhh, the justice system is just sometimes. :)

Six...

Just me this morning... Matt didn't want any french toast?! Gonna have to get used to breakfast by myself anyway because Matt leaves to go to India + China on Thursday morning to do a shoot. Luckily I have a new, cool project to keep me busy, designing two e-books for these creative ladies down in LA.

On the breakfast front: feeling good. Still feel like I have more energy throughout the day. Still drinking less coffee. Though yesterday I met Hannah at the Farmer's Market in Temescal (Oakland) and we had a blue bottle mocha for lunch... that was awesome, on two fronts, seeing Hannah was the best part... drinking coffee in my car with her in the parking lot while it poured down rain was also awesome. And I felt totally cracked out by the time I got home for dinner... but the boyfriend saved the day and had delicious lamb stew and cous cous pilaf with kale + coconut + chard + nuts... delicious... one of the best meals I have had in a while!

Five!

Okay... so it is going to get really boring watching me eat granola and strawberries for 30 days. So at least be thankful that this only a 30 day challenge. And that I am trying for some wacky aerial shots.

Our new house is fantastic! I posted some picts on Kiss the Paper if you want to check it out. Even better come over + have cozy breakfast on the couch with me!

And here is the tree... it was funny because Leila, Scrub + I drove about an hour, out of our forest, to a Christmas Tree farm in Petaluma so we could chop down our tree... and when we got there they only had pines that you could actually chop yourself. That just doesn't cut it. Only the fir family for my Xmas tree... so we ended up just picking one from the 'already chopped' section. But we had a fantastic time. Leila picked the tree and was able to haul the 8 foot tree all by herself on the cart across the farm. It was hilarious!

Breakfast number four... and then there were three!

Leila and I made waffles this morning... and a huge mess. It definitely makes waffles taste much better when you make a huge mess in the kitchen we think. Leila's favorite thing when we sit down to eat these days is hearing stories of when I was a kid with Carlo P, my older brother... this morning I told her about Waffle Day at my dad's house which was every Sunday. (Did I ever post this really cool video that Etsy did about my dad's house? The commune, as we call it... ;) Etsy interviewed my stepmom about the evolution of the place. It's very sweet.
And you can watch it here!)

And then Scrub showed up + joined us... yay!

And now we go chop, chop down a Christmas tree in the rain... oh boy!
